This is the first pattern I’ve published online, so I hope there are no glaring mistakes….
Cabled Baby Hat (to go with Cabled Raglan Baby Sweater)
Materials needed: 1 ball Louisa Harding Kashmir Baby or another DK-weight yarn.
16 inch circular needle and set of 4 DPNs in US 5 or size needed to obtain gauge
Darning or tapestry needle
Gauge: 24 sts and 32 rows of stockinette stitch to a 4 inch by 4 inch square.
CO 96 sts and join in round, being careful not to twist.
Work 7 rows of garter stitch. To do garter in the round, you alternate knit rows with purl rows.
Rows 1-3, 5-9, 11-18: K5, P3, K8 P3, K58, P3, K8, P3, K5
Rows 4 and 10: K5, P3, C8B (slip 4 sts onto cn and hold in back of work, K 4 sts from left hand needle, K sts from cn)…
