Betty Martin Pattern

Robinsanford's Blog

CO 4 + 2.

Row 1:  *K2, p2*, repeat to last 2 sts, k2.

Row 2:  *P2, k2*, repeat to last 2 sts, p2.

Row 3:  Knit to end.

Row 4:  Purl to end.

These 4 rows complete the pattern.  This pattern is used many times in fishermans sweaters and because it is a traditional pattern and name is sometimes with a different pattern or the pattern has a different name.  Most traditional knitting patterns were not written down but passed down to daughters and friends while knitting together.

3 John 1: 11  “Dear friend, do not imitate what is evil but what is good. Anyone who does what is good is from God. Anyone who does what is evil has not seen God.”

The world seems to be in shades of grey sometimes but this clears the confusion for me.
